All Steps
Step 1
We ask you to bring or send a clear copy of your photo ID (passport or driving license) and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within 3 months).
A short, none evasive process where we will take your biometric patterns.
Step 3
An open session where you are free to browse, explore and discuss your options within our vault. Decide what size safe is going to work for you or your family.

In your own time and at your discretion we ask you to read and then sign our contract of business.
Once completed, we hand you a welcome pack or you get one through DHL, which includes the key to your safe(s). You can store immediately at this point.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to disclose the contents of the box?
No. LGV is strictly private and confidential. IBV and their staff do not know the contents of your box. Our viewing cubicles within the vault are not monitored by CCTV as it is for your private viewing
Who knows what is in the safe deposit locker?
Only the client and the nominated key holders would know what is in the box.
Who has access to the locker?
The client and the nominated key holders have access to the box.
All nominated key holders are required to be present with the primary key holder and have their original ID document on hand in order to be added on to our system for access.
No. Should anything happen to the primary and secondary key holders, we will have to contact the nominated next of kin to determine the next of key holder.
Does my next of kin have access to the box?
What is the procedure when accessing my box?
Once the registration is complete, identification has to be produced on every visit thereafter (ID, Passport, driver’s license), you will be identified by fingerprint and picture recognition. All clients are escorted into the vault to your box, you will unlock your safe locker with a staff member, remove your inner case and complete your transaction in a private viewing cubicle.
What happens if I die?
In the unfortunate event of a client’s death, LGV contacts the registered next of kin on file. To proceed, we request a copy of their ID, proof of address, and the client’s death certificate. Additionally, we administer a short pre-prepared questionnaire, completed by the client beforehand, that the next of kin answers to verify their authority. This process ensures a secure and respectful transfer of access to your valuables.
Can the next of kin cancel my storage contract and retrieve all items in storage?
Yes, the next of kin registered with LGV can cancel the storage contract and access or retrieve all items in storage, following verification of their identity and submission of required documents.
What happens if the next of kin refuses to respond after my passing?
If the registered next of kin does not respond, LGV follows a secure holding procedure to protect the assets. We will retain the valuables securely while making reasonable efforts to contact authorized parties, ensuring your assets remain safe until proper claimants come forward.
If your next of kin resides outside the UK, they can still gain access to your safe deposit box once they present the required legal documents and authorization. LGV can to verify the documents before granting access and receiving the items.
